Reid and Reynolds has an experienced team of professional valuers and property advisers, each specialising in different areas of expertise.

The team is focused on helping people make the right property planning decisions to grow their property business. The team is led by directors Grant Utteridge and Martyn Craven.

Grant Utteridge
Director

Grant Utteridge completed his urban and rural valuation degree at Lincoln College and moved to Rotorua in 1982. He spent five years working for Valuation New Zealand in Rotorua, Taupo and Whakatane. He joined Reid and Reynolds in 1987 and became a director the following year. He specialises in the commercial sector, with a special focus on CBD, industrial, accommodation and tourism properties. Grant was appointed a Fellow of the Property Institute of New Zealand and the New Zealand Institute of Valuers in 2002. He is currently on the board of Sport Bay of Plenty, valuersnet.nz and Rotorua Cricket.

Martyn Craven
Director

Martyn Craven joined Reid and Reynolds in 2004 after emigrating from England in 2001. A rural farming background with Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS), Martyn became a director of Reid and Reynolds in 2006. He attained associate membership of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers in 2003 and is a senior member of the New Zealand Property Institute. Martyn specialises in the rural sector, primarily dairying and forestry.

Sharon Hall
Registered Valuer

Sharon studied at Lincoln University graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (Valuation & Property Management). She grew up in Palmerston North and moved to Rotorua in 2000, joining Reid and Reynolds that same year. Sharon is a registered valuer and leads the residential team.

Kendall Russ
Registered Valuer

Kendall graduated from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Valuation & Property Management) in 2001.  Since then he has been working with Reid & Reynolds, initially servicing the South Waikato District market and the Rotorua Residential market.  Kendall was registered as a valuer in 2005, became an Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers in 2006 and now specialises in the industrial and suburban commercial sectors of Rotorua.

Nick Birdsall
Valuer

Nick Birdsall studied at Massey University and commenced work at Reid and Reynolds in July 2007. Nick comes from a sheep and beef farming background and is specialising in the rural sector. He will be applying for registration in 2010.

Mike James
Valuer

Mike James has been working at Reid and Reynolds since 2007 and is about to complete his Bachelor of Business, majoring in Property through Massey University. Mike has worked in the rural and residential sectors, and is currently specialising in the commercial area.
